A reopened campus

Brockbank has a long history in Magna. It ran as a traditional junior high for decades, then closed in 2016 when its students shifted to Matheson Junior High and the building became a ninth and tenth grade annex for a crowded Cyprus High School. With the new Cyprus High building opening in 2025, the district reopened Brockbank as a standalone STEM junior high for the 2025 to 2026 school year.

Because it is effectively a fresh start, Brockbank does not yet carry a current GreatSchools rating as a junior high, and state test results for its new configuration will take a year or two to publish. If you are weighing schools today, look at the wider Cyprus network and the district’s investment in the new buildings rather than a single score.

Where Brockbank fits

Brockbank sits in the middle of the Magna school progression. Under the current Granite School District pattern, the path runs:

The 2025 reconfiguration moved sixth grade up to the junior highs and ninth grade up to the high schools across the Cyprus network, and it reopened Brockbank with new attendance lines. That makes address-level verification more important than usual here. The Granite School District boundary tool checks any specific address. You can also explore the wider market on our Magna area page.

Homes in the Brockbank boundary

Magna is one of the more affordable communities in Salt Lake County, and the Brockbank boundary reflects that. Expect a mix of established single-family homes, some on generous lots, alongside newer construction and townhomes as the west side continues to grow.

Because the boundary is new and the mix of active listings shifts month to month, we would rather pull a current, address-specific snapshot for you than quote a range that goes stale quickly.

A local broker’s take

Brockbank is an interesting one for Magna buyers. A brand new STEM junior high and a brand new Cyprus High building are a real signal of district investment on the west side, even if the test scores need a year or two to catch up. The catch is that the boundaries are new as of 2025, so a single street can decide which junior high a home feeds. When you find a place you like, we will confirm its exact junior high and high school assignment before you write an offer.
